fastags

for

one

car

or

linking

multiple

cars

with

one

fastag.

It

dictates

that

every

vehicle

can

only

have

one

active

FASTag

linked

to

it.

*

Previously,

some

users

were

misusing

the

system

by

either

having

multiple

FASTags

for

one

vehicle

or

using

a

single

FASTag

for

multiple

vehicles.

*

This

caused

confusion,

inaccuracies

in

toll

collection,

and

encouraged

potential

evasion

of

charges.

Why

is

it

important?

Promotes

transparency

and

accountability:

Ensures

every

vehicle

is

uniquely

identified

and

its

toll

transactions

are

accurately

recorded.

Improves

efficiency

at

toll

plazas:

Reduces

confusion

and

delays

at

toll

booths,

leading

to

traffic

flow.

Prevents

misuse

and

evasion:

discourages

individuals

from

exploiting

the

system
